Pottery sale & giveaway Info

all the things…

We'll have piles of beautiful pottery from our incredibly talented instructors, students and owners. Throw in some free treats and giveaways and you've got yourself one fine day celebrating craft and art in Athens.

{Oh, you caught that, did you? Yep. We're giving away quite the experience on the pottery wheel AND playing a little scavenger hunt for some free pottery. Details for the giveaway and the hunt are all the way (really...all the way) at the bottom of the event description...}

Addicted to pottery videos like me? Well, you’re in luck. We'll be rolling out new videos featuring one of our sale artists on Facebook & Instagram leading up to the sale. They’ll be showing us some of the techniques they use to create their incredible work and you can get sucked into the mesmerizing world of watching someone throw on the pottery wheel. Seriously hypnotic. You don’t have to wait to get to know our sale artists, though. You can get a sneak peek of their amazing work by going to our artist bio page here.

Have a mom? Great. We have a gift for her for Mother’s Day to prove you should have always been the favorite. Graduating? Spoil yourself and snag a spiffy (yes, spiffy) new mug for all the adulting that awaits you.

From the ubiquitous mug to succulent planters to jewelry and everything in-between, we’ll have handmade pottery from 21 amazing artists. And, if that won't get you there...remember, we'll have free food. Lots of it. And giveaways that will have you tossing every store-bought mug in your house.

Here is a list of the artists we're honored to have in our sale:

Amanda Akin, CJ Brockinton, Zoe Daniel, Shannon Dominy, Frank Jackson, Stephanie Johnson, Adrienne Kitchens, Tina Lawrence, Christopher Marbut, Mary Mayes, Kathy Miller, Caroline Montague, Mee Moon, Amanda Proctor, Rebecca Seidl, Rob Sutherland, Jessica Sutherland, Dianne Watts, Aubree VanWinkle, Nicole White, and Sandrine Zawacki

***GIVEAWAY DETAILS*** Rob and I will teach you and 6 friends how to use the pottery wheel at your very own private pottery party, where we'll show you how to make some incredible work of your own. Maybe a mug for your morning coffee, or a dog bowl to feed your furkid? Maybe you just *really* want to channel Patrick & Demi and that whole pottery thing is on your bucket list. Ditto.

So, how do you win? Couple of ways.

The Instagram Way: Follow us on Instagram, find our giveaway post from 4/23 and like it. Then, tag 3 friends in the comments who you think would like to learn to make pottery. If they follow & like us back, you’re entered for a chance to win! Get an extra entry for each additional friend you tag that follows us back. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

The Other Way: You can also win just by coming to the sale on May 11th. You get 1 entry just for showing up. Want more entries? Then just take a photo of yourself at the sale, post on IG, and tag us.

Whether you go digital or analog, we've gotcha covered to win! And, we’re giving away 2 of these parties, so you just doubled your chances of winning. Boom.

***SCAVENGER HUNT DETAILS*** Want to win a beautiful piece of pottery handmade by a talented Good Dirt artist? Great, cause that’s happening. We’re going to play a little Athens hide and seek. Right now, there are 4 “golden tickets” hidden around Athens waiting for you to find them. Each ticket was hidden by one of our artists at their favorite places in Athens. So how do you find them? Follow us and the artists on Instagram & Facebook. Every day for the 4 days leading up to our sale, one of our artists will be dropping clues on Instagram & Facebook where you can find their ticket around town. Every 2 hours, a new clue will drop until the ticket has been found. If you’re the lucky finder, take a photo with the ticket where you found it, post it on Facebook or Instagram and tag us and the artist, so everyone knows you found it and that you are, basically, a genius. Then, come to the sale on the 11th to claim your prize. Happy Hunting! Want to see what mugs are up for grabs in the hunt? Then, head here.

Questions? Message us and we'll get it sorted.

Hope to see you at the sale!
