ROB SUTHERLAND, D.Phil., Oxford University.

Rob is the owner of GOOD DIRT STUDIO and The Gallery @ Good Dirt.  He is dedicated to teaching a variety of subjects to both children and adults.  He creates functional pottery using a wide range of forming and firing techniques.  Rob’s background in the sciences influences his teaching style, and he is very good at breaking down techniques into logical chunks that can be easily digested.  He is also an accomplished baker, basket maker, mandolinist, and cellist.

CARYN VAN WAGTENDONK,  MFA, Ohio State University, Ceramics.

Caryn's work is primarily sculptural ceramics, and often incorporates other media such as wire, cloth, and found objects. She directed the art department of a custom tile company in Los Angeles for four years.  Her sculpture and tile classes have a devoted following, and Caryn strikes the perfect balance of sharing her own expertise and allowing her students to explore for themselves in a relaxed, fun environment.
