Art Opportunities for Kids

We are no longer offering children’s birthday parties due to destruction of our art students’ pottery. However, we still believe in the power of art in a child’s life and so we’ve created some options where children can be successful and our artists’ work will be safe.

Youth Wheel Class, Vaccinated-only

Pottery Wheel, Ages 10 & Up, MUST be mature and follow directions well

Every month we offer 4-week sessions of Youth Wheel where mature kids ages 10 & Up can learn how to create on the pottery wheel. We’ll be keeping these classes very small and limiting numbers to 5, to give them the very best experience possible. The cost is $95 for 8 hours of class instruction and includes clay, firing and glazing costs. Children are not eligible for studio membership (working independently in the studio alone), so membership is not included. Projects will vary according to the interests of the class. Family Try Clay

Handbuilding, all ages, Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm

This is an all-ages clay class for anyone interested in handbuilding and/or sculpture. The cost is $35/person for 2 hours of instruction, and includes all materials, firing & glazing costs. You can create sculptural or functional work during your time and our instructors will support and assist you in your creations. This is not a drop-off class for children, but an opportunity for families to create together. Since the class is often full, we don’t accept walk ins. Please register for Family Try Clay HERE.
